FINAL EVALUATION
Personally I feel that my project could have been a lot better than it is. I liked my design but as I progressed along I realised that I could have planned it much better and the design could also be improved to something more creative. I think my design is too simple, but yet during the process it encountered too many problems that I could have been fixed if I had thought ahead, such as how I was going to place the acrylic and keep the tabs together.
I suppressed myself with the thought of simplicity rather than a design that was smart and cool and that I would favour more. I had the thought that simplicity would turn out better than a complicated design – but considering my simple design didn’t turn out well, I regret not going with the harder more challenging design.
Furthermore, during Week 5, under the pressure of the deadline, I found myself rushing and not planning, therefore ruining my project by deforming the metal by rebending and unbending it multiple times, as I tried to overcome a particular problem.
I also wish to of changed the colour of the dividers to something that isn’t transparent, perhaps black; as I think it would look more appealing. Likewise I wish to fill the rivet hole with something, but I asked miss and she said that it wasn’t possible.
I would say that the only thing in my project that I am content with is the paint work of it. I love the colour or it as well as how there are no drips on it and the effect it provides, as some parts are thinner than other parts at the top but the sides are coated rather evenly.
Overall I am not as content with my project as I could be as there are many aspects of it that I think could be better and I actually would have been able to fix, if I chose not to rush and force it.
